Krobo Mountain
Ancestral home of the Krobo people, with caves, rock shelters and wide views.
Krobo Mountain, a 338-metre outcrop split by a gorge, was the home and sacred centre of the Krobo people for more than two centuries, until the colonial government forced them off it in 1892. Today you can hike past caves, rock shelters and the remains of the old settlement, and each year the Manya and Yilo Krobo return on pilgrimage during their Ngmayem and Kloyosikplem festivals.
